Application approved. Preparing for installation.
Our vision for a safer Upper Crosby is becoming a reality. With the boom-gate application approved, we are preparing for installation and monitoring from January 2027, subject to funding and completion of the remaining preparations.
- Current stage.
- The application has been approved. Next are Government Gazette advertising within 30 days, a wayleave application and a community meeting.
- Resident access.
- No fee may be charged for access to the restricted area. Emergency and service access must be allowed, pedestrian access must be accommodated, and all signage remains subject to approval.
- Community funded.
- Every household is asked to contribute R6,000 before infrastructure installation. If you have not yet paid, please arrange payment as soon as possible so that a lack of funds does not delay the gates.
